An LTAC is a long-term acute care hospital for patients with medically complex conditions that require a physician’s care each day. Our patients generally require this level of intensive care for up to a month before they can be discharged. Each patient at Carolinas Specialty Hospital receives a customized plan of care to meet his or her specific needs.
