Carolinas Specialty Hospital is currently looking for a Fulltime Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Carolinas Specialty Hospital (CSH) is a 40-bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Hospital specializing in medically complex patients requiring an average length of stay of 25 to 30 days. A typical LTAC patient may require care for: Ventilator Weaning, Complex Wounds, Infections requiring IV antibiotics, Complications from extensive surgery, Multi-system failures, TPN, Neurological / traumatic injuries, not yet able to participate in acute rehabilitation due to medical complexity, Bariatric Care. Summary:
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs in the hospital to facilitate rehabilitation for the physically handicapped. Direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance; facilitate the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, diminish or correct pathology, and to promote and maintain health.
